These terms apply to financialaccounting.com and to the online courses sold on it. By enrolling in a course, you agree to them. Please read them before you buy.
Who we are
Financial Accounting Institute, 885 S El Camino Real, Suite 202, San Mateo, CA 94402. You can reach us at info@financialaccounting.com.
What you are buying
Enrollment in a self-paced online course. Your enrollment includes:
- Access to the course videos and materials on our online learning platform, LearnWorlds.
- Printed course materials, mailed to the address you give us.
- A certificate of completion once you finish the course.
Course content, running time and materials are described on the course page. We may improve or update a course over time, and you get those updates at no extra cost while your access lasts.
Your enrollment is for one person
One enrollment covers one named person. Please do not share your login, and do not let a colleague use your account. If your organization bought seats for a team, each seat belongs to one named person.
Moving a seat to someone else. If your organization has a seat code that nobody has used yet, give it to anyone in your organization. You do not need to ask us. Seat codes expire six months after they were purchased, so use them before then.
If someone has started a seat and then leaves or cannot continue, contact us. As long as they have not gone past Section 2 of the course, we will turn their seat back into an unused code, once per seat. The code keeps its original expiry date.
Individual enrollments are not transferable. If you have bought a course for yourself and have not started it, our refund policy below is the route.
Price and payment
The price of each course is shown on its page. Individual enrollments are paid by credit card at checkout, processed by Shopify. We do not see or store your card number.
For groups, pricing and payment are arranged directly with us. Contact us and we will quote your group.
How long you have access
Your access begins when you enroll and lasts six months. If your organization bought seats for a team, your access begins when you redeem your seat code, not when your organization purchased. We will tell you before your access ends, and if you need more time, ask us.
Printed materials
We mail printed course materials to the address you give at enrollment, so please make sure it is correct. Shipping to addresses in the United States and Canada is included in your enrollment.
Outside the United States and Canada, depending on your location, we may send you a PDF or a printed book.
If your materials do not arrive or arrive damaged, tell us and we will send a replacement.
Refunds
Our refund policy is below and it forms part of these terms.
Refunds and cancellations
Individual enrollments
If the course is not what you expected, email info@financialaccounting.com within fourteen days of enrolling and we will refund you in full. You do not need to give a reason. We ask only that you have not already earned your certificate of completion.
After fourteen days we do not refund enrollments. Your access, your materials and your place in the course are yours for six months.
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within ten business days.
If we cancel a course
If we withdraw a course you are enrolled in, we will refund what you paid for it in full, or move you to another course if you prefer.
If you cannot use your enrollment
Individual enrollments cannot be moved to another person. If you are within fourteen days, the refund above is the route. For group seats, see below.
Group and corporate enrollments
For group and corporate enrollments, the terms of your order confirmation apply. Unless your order says otherwise, group seats are not refundable. Seat codes nobody has used can be passed to anyone in your organization until they expire. If someone has started a seat and then leaves or cannot continue, contact us. As long as they have not gone past Section 2 of the course, we will turn their seat back into an unused code, once per seat.
Continuing education credit
Our courses are not yet accredited for CLE or CPE credit. If you apply for credit yourself, your licensing body decides; on request, we will send the documentation we have.
Using the course content
The courses, videos, printed materials and everything else we provide belong to Financial Accounting Institute or to the people we license from. You may use them for your own learning, and you may keep your printed materials and any files we give you. You keep anything you write yourself.
You may not record, copy, resell, publish or share the course content or your access, or use the content to teach or train anyone else, without our written permission.
Availability
While we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, we will try to make it right if the course is down for an extended period. Tell us and we will add the lost time to your access.
Your information
How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
